Keira Knightley covers Vogue's October issue

Keira Knightley is one of the most talented and beautiful actresses on the scene today, so it would come as no surprise that she would portray the role of one of the most iconic characters in literature : Anna Karenina. In the October issue we can see why she was cast in such a powerful and theatrical part. She embodies elegance and timeless beauty , and makes couture pieces by Chanel, Valentino and some of the costumes from the film come to life in a way that no one else can. Needless to say, this is one of Vogue's winning covers.

Fashion Showdown: Natalie Portman and Diane Kruger in Christian Dior Haute Couture

Natalie Portman debuted a new look at the opening night of the L.A dance project, the former brunette is now a blonde. The face of Dior's "Dior Cherie" perfume chose a Christian Dior strapless gown from the fall 2012 couture collection, the first one designed by new creative director Raf Simons. But this was not the first time we've seen this dress on a well know celebrity. Diane Kruger wore the piece in Vogue's September issue (right) she posed with the designer himself in the editorial. On to the two looks, for me Natalie doesn't quite pull it off she doesn't have the height or the body to pull off such a dress, it truly overwhelms her. Diane on the other hand perfectly showcases the dress , it's beautifully cinched at her waist showing off the voluminous skirt. Diane wins this round. Who do you think wore it better ?

64th annual Emmy awards fashion: Emilia Clarke in Chanel

In a sea of predictable pageant like gowns, Emilia Clarke stood out wearing a beautiful Chanel resort 2013 creation. She could have gone the predictable route and worn a pouffy princess-loke gown, but instead she chose to go for modern and fashion forward. I absolutely love her for choosing this gown, it just proves that she's one to watch on the red carpet. The styling was spot on, she cleverly pulled her hair back as not to distract from the beautiful embroidery, and she chose nude heels to tone down the whole look so the dress would be the center of attention. By far the best dressed of the night.

Keira Knightley in Chanel Couture and Elie Saab Couture

Keira Knightley has been hard at work promoting her new movie Anna Karenina, and she's been wowing us with magnificent red carpet looks along the way. She chose a Chanel Haute couture fall 2012 gown for the London premiere. I'm in love with this gown I love the color against her pale complexion , the flower appliques add a touch of romance to the gown. The belt adds a modern element to the gown and pulls the look together perfectly.

For the Toronto film festival premiere of the film she chose an Elie Saab fall 2012 couture gown. This gown is more of a classic old  Hollywood glamour look which I absolutely adore. The gown beautifully drapes her body resulting in an elegant silhouette. This is my favorite look of the two.

Dior Haute Couture for Vogue China September 2012

September issues are the most important and anticipated magazine issues of the year. And Vogue China absolutely delivered on that anticipation. Captured by Ward Ivan Rafik's lens Chinese actress Ni Ni dazzles in Raf Simon's first Dior Haute Couture collection, shot in the same venue the pieces were showcased. I'm in love with this editorial, the styling is simple yet breathtaking, it allows the piece to take center stage but without overwhelming the actress. One of my September favorites.

Diane Kruger Canne Film Festival Style

I absolutely adore Diane Kruger, I think her style is impeccable and she knows what's appropriate to be worn on the red carpet and what is not. She rarely commits a fashion crime , and she can carry off any outfit with her confident attitude. During her Cannes film festival run as a member of the jury, we were treated to some of her best looks of all time.

During the first day of the festival at the jury photocall Diane wore a burgundy Versus fall 2012 dress (Left)  paired with Jimmy Choo 'Katima' sandals. This a very daring and fashion forward look. I can't say I'm a huge fan of this look, but no one can pull it off as well as Diane.

At the opening ceremony of the festival Diane resembled a goddess in her one shouldered pale green Giambattista Valli Couture gown. It draped her body beautifully, and Diane perfectly showcased the movement of the dress.

NYFW Fall 2012: Derek Lam

Derek Lam's fall presentation delivered exactly what we have come to expect from the designer: Classic, wearable pieces with a touch of glamour. The collection was inspired by the 60's. It was very well constructed, the pieces were crisp and clean cut. I loved the sleeveless sweaters that were worn over  the pleated maxi skirts. Every piece in this collection embodies effortless chic.
